RG 1/144 - Shining Gundam

The Shining Gundam is an iconic mobile suit from the anime Mobile Fighter G Gundam. It is piloted by Domon Kasshu, the protagonist of the series. This mobile suit is particularly notable for its unique design and special abilities, including the "Shining Finger", a devastating attack in which Domon concentrates a massive amount of energy into his fingers, capable of destroying opponents.

The Shining Gundam has a sleek design with bright colors (primarily red, blue, and gold) and a more humanoid architecture than other Gundams in the franchise. Its combat system relies on a combination of speed and raw power, with great agility in close combat, which is a stark contrast to other Gundams that are often heavier and more ranged-oriented. The mobile suit evolves throughout the series, particularly as it receives upgrades and adaptations to face increasingly powerful opponents in the Gundam World Battle Tournament.

The term Gunpla refers to plastic models of mecha, characters or vehicles from the Japanese Gundam franchise and marketed by Bandai; it results from the contraction of "Gundam plastic model". Appeared in 1980.
